Alkagesta took part in the second Annual Central Asia Oil & Gas Forum in Tashkent on 15-16 October, according to an account published by the company. Javid Guliyev, its CIS Regional Trader, represented the business during the two-day event. The report describes a 2026 programme focused on regional energy cooperation and improving the operation of supply chains.

The gathering brought together energy industry executives, policymakers and investors to discuss developments in Central Asian energy markets. Alkagesta framed the discussions against changes in logistics and regulation, alongside what it described as the region’s increasing importance to global energy security. Its account presented those shifts as the backdrop to the forum’s examination of regional cooperation and trade.

Sessions covered the region’s oil and gas resources and approaches to production, as well as cross-border trading routes and the infrastructure supporting them. Refining capacity and access to markets were also on the agenda. Together, these subjects placed both the production of energy commodities and their movement between markets within the scope of the two-day programme outlined by Alkagesta.

Investment, risk management and the development of public-private partnerships across Central Asia formed another part of the programme. The company described the forum as an opportunity to discuss the challenges and prospects associated with changing trade corridors and the region’s growing involvement in international supply chains. Its account emphasised dialogue on these issues rather than detailing individual transactions or project commitments.

For Alkagesta, attendance reflected the importance it attaches to Central Asia within its wider regional business. The company said it maintains an active presence in CIS markets and operates a petroleum-products trading platform covering approximately 48 countries. It linked its participation in the Tashkent event to that existing commercial footprint and the region’s place in its broader operations.
